The Night of Ideas invites the public to come and listen to thinkers from all walks of life (writers, politicians, journalists, artists, creators, entrepreneurs...), at times that break with the ordinary academic conference and in the excitement of a real celebration of Thought (through conferences, theatre, performances, projections, concert...).

An open invitation to all places of culture and knowledge in France and around the world, the Night of Ideas is a format for innovative intellectual and transdisciplinary exchanges that offers meetings under the label of sharing, knowledge and reflection, between countries as well as between disciplines and generations, in unusual places.

In 2017, the Night of Ideas was held in nearly 100 cultural capitals around the world (London, Berlin, Brussels, Rabat, Prague, Buenos Aires...). As the Night of Ideas progresses through the different time zones its echoes resonate through social media, making the Night of Ideas a truly global event

For this 3rd edition in Belgium, the Night of Ideas will be held in Antwerp, Brussels and Liège.

In Brussels, Kanal-Centre Pompidou will host many activities based on the theme of Ecological Emergencies - Thinking about the World.

We look forward to welcoming you and we hope you will attend the debates and performances with Paul Magnette, Chantal Mouffe, Frédéric Ferrer, Valérie Cabanes and Guillaume Pitron.
