Kanal Architecture holds more than 500 archival fonds that reflect the richness and diversity of architectural, urban and landscape design in Brussels and Belgium. These collections bring together the vestiges and visions of architects, landscape architects, urban planners, decorators and engineers, including Jos Bascourt, Victor Bourgeois, Renaat Braem, the Brunfaut family, Jules Buyssens, Alban Chambon, Antoine Courtens, Jacques Cuisinier, Paul Duvigneaud, Jean-Jules Eggericx, Simone Guillissen-Hoa, Eliane Havenith, Louis Herman De Koninck, Huib Hoste, Lucien and Simone Kroll, Henry Lacoste, René Pechère, the Polak family, Robert Puttemans and many others. The archives of dancer and choreographer Akarova are also among the treasures preserved in the collections.
Whether you are a researcher or simply curious, you can immerse yourself in this exceptional collection of documents that bear witness to these histories: graphic archives (plans, drawings, sketches, posters, panels...), written archives (correspondence, personal notes, tenders, specifications...), photographs, models, furniture, objects, wallpaper and textiles, mainly dating from the 19th and 20th centuries in Belgium.
