Samusocial x Vincen Beeckman 

We believe that art and culture have the power to bring Brussels' communities together and make everyone feel at home. Out of this vision, as part of our Civic Circle, your support directly funds the following multi-year residency: a collaboration between Brussels artist-photographer Vincen Beeckman and  social organisation Samusocial, giving voice to Brussels' socially vulnerable communities through visual storytelling and shared creation.

Past editions have included a podcast, in collaboration with Kiosk Radio, in which participants experiencing homelessness curated a music show based on their own personal stories; a series of photo collages created by local Brussels children, displayed at Yser metro station; and "Of Men And Dignity", an exhibition portraying personal stories of men affected by homelessness, held in the Royal Park. Looking ahead, the project continues in 2027 with a Kanal showcase combining food, music and a recipe book co-written by participants, followed by a full exhibition of Beeckman's work in 2028.
