It receives sunlight only during the summer months; a lawn and a few shrubs once occupied the space discreetly. It was in this context that, in 1995, the owners commissioned the architect Bernard Van Nuffel to transform both the house and the garden. The result is a remarkable metamorphosis. The garden now teems with life: plant diversity has significantly increased its ecological potential, climbing plants envelop the walls, and rainwater from the 60 square metres of roof feeds into a pond. Serge, the owners’ son and a passionate gardener, has shaped this botanical composition with great care, transforming a shaded plot into a richly layered and evocative space.
