Groupe DIX, ENSAV - LA CAMBRE
Ten young artists working in different art forms, who have all shared the experience of studying performance at La Cambre, appropriate the collective dynamics and the playful philosophy of the Groupe Écart (1969-1982) that John Armleder belonged to. This process of appropriation coincides with the pandemic, which has temporarily cancelled any performances at KANAL and has meant that the group has had to work remotely for several months. Out of the videoconference exchange sessions, the experience of performing alone, the different protocols communicated remotely, even the experience of the disease itself, a shared imaginary has been created and is now deployed at KANAL, through individual or collectively performed works. From confined domestic space and controlled public spaces to secure art spaces, living beings that bear witness to the strange relations with the world caused by our modern-day experiences.
