Film Klub is Kanal's free film and assembly programme, open to everyone.

On the third Wednesday of each month, Film Klub meets in Box 2 – always at the same place and time. One month you might discover a feature-length screening, the next a conversation with a filmmaker, a selection of short films, or even a workshop. There are no tickets to book, and sometimes the programme remains a surprise until the day itself. Simply show up and see what unfolds.
Film Klub is not bound to a set theme, genre, or format. Instead, it is shaped by a group of 30 members who collaboratively design and organise its programme. After a year of community consultations and workshops to explore what Film Klub could become, the initial group was established through an open call in summer 2026. Membership is free, and new spots open whenever existing members step down.
Supported by four facilitators – Gawan Fagard, Victoire Karera Kampire, June Laka, and Lea Vromman – members meet regularly to brainstorm and participate in two assemblies each year, during which they propose, discuss and vote on each season’s activities.
Film Klub explores what a film programme can be when it is created collectively. It imagines the museum not only as a place to watch films but also as a place to gather, organise, experiment and learn from one another. Over time, Film Klub aims to develop its own rhythm and identity as a self-organised community, rooted in participation, shared authorship and collective decision-making.`
Box 2 can be accessed from level +1 via the doors next to the ramp. Before the event starts, the room can also be entered via the Showroom entrance.
