This is a typical Brussels garden, long and narrow, laid out in a series of paths. Its owners, however, have given it a strong personality by dividing the space according to the sun's path. A succession of contrasting surfaces unfolds: a terrace paved with bluestone ceramic tiles, a brick path laid on edge, a lawn, and a shed on a paved courtyard; each a gentle rhythm for the visitor's progress. Along the paths, plants and shrubs create magnificent flowerbeds. From the house, one can admire the garden stretching into the distance, framed, in the warmer months, by an archway covered in roses.
