A truly immense journey guides you through the forces that have set people, ideas and artistic forms in motion from the early 20th century to the present day. The exhibition spans modern icons such as Lygia Clark, Sonia Delaunay, Alberto Giacometti, Natalia Goncharova, Wifredo Lam and Henri Matisse, alongside contemporary international and Brussels-based artists like Sammy Baloji, Edith Dekyndt and Hana Miletić. It brings together more than 350 works, predominantly from the Centre Pompidou and the Kanal collection, but also from other public and private collections in Belgium.

Deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors can discover the exhibition through a Flemish Sign Language (VGT) or Langue des Signes Francophone Belgique (LSFB)
guided tour. An experienced guide will introduce some of the key works and themes, inviting you to look, discover and engage in conversation together.
The guided tours are conducted by deaf or hard-of-hearing guides and are reserved for visitors who use sign language. They have been developed in collaboration with the Vlaamse gebarentaalcentrum (VGTC), the centre of knowledge and expertise for Flemish Sign Language and for the development, dissemination and social recognition of VGT and its users; Arts & Culture, an organisation that aims to make culture, in the broadest sense, accessible to the deaf community and to anyone who wishes to gain a better understanding of their world; and with the F.R.i.D.A. collective, which is committed to supporting women and working towards an anti-ableist society.
