Tenbosch Park, a Dendrologist's Dream

Past

This event ran on 25.06.2023. But wait, there's always more at Kanal! Check out the calendar.

Tenbosch Park was born of a wild dream Jean-Louis Semet, a dendrologist, and his head gardener, Hector Noyer, had at the end of the nineteenth century: to plant an arboretum in Brussels devoted to rare trees. Where the orchards and vegetable gardens of the former château Ferme de Tenbosch once stood, they made sumptuous use of the site's relief and brought together remarkable trees and shrubs, some of them unique to Brussels and even Belgium. A truly private botanical garden that became a public park in 1981 and has been tended to ever since by a team of passionate gardeners from Brussels Environment. Stroll the winding paths of this park accompanied by an enthusiastic guide.
