In a green area of the Vogelzang district, the cemetery of the municipality of Anderlecht occupies no less than 18.8 ha. Designed after the war, it was conceived in the urban context that the municipality envisaged at the time. In addition to its historical and cultural character, the Vogelzang cemetery is the first in Brussels to be committed to biodiversity. It is part of the ‘Nature Network’ of the non-profit organization Natagora.
