Laurent Dupont lives and works in Brussels. He studied painting at the Académie des beaux-arts in Liège and installation and performance art at Erg in Brussels. He was in residence at WIELS (2010) and teaches at Sint Lucas Antwerp. His work is characterised, among other things, by his conceptual approach to painting and his contextual transformation of objects, using different media. For many years, he has also been collecting and replicating animal paintings made by anonymous artists.
