Pierre Bismuth studied visual communication at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs in Paris. He also attended the painting classes of painter, sculptor and engraver Georg Baselitz in Berlin. As an artist, Bismuth looks at the codes of conceptual art and approaches social issues from a political perspective. With wit and intuition, he explores how the glut of images affects our everyday lives and how visual codes dominate our imagination.
