Richard Venlet combines sculpture, art-historical research, exhibition design and architecture, and is interested in how people experience spaces. Through works created specifically for a particular site, he aims to encourage visitors to view their surroundings in a different light. In recent years, he has also focused on designing exhibition structures into which the work of other artists or partners can be integrated. For certain projects, for example, he has collaborated with architectural practices such as OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen and Philippe Vander Maren.
