Shaun Motsi

Shaun Motsi is an artist currently based in Brussels and Berlin. He spent his childhood in Zimbabwe, South Africa and Canada, and studied at the HfBK Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main under Professor Judith Hopf from 2015 to 2020. His practice explores how cultural narratives are constructed, adopted and appropriated over time and across different regions, working across painting, video and installation to organise his motifs around everyday, recognisable forms and symbolically charged concepts.
