The son of the famous artist John M Armleder, also known by the pseudonyms Alpenflage and The Genevan Heathen, Stéphane Armleder is more often than not quite simply presented as ‘the king of the Swiss night’. An indefatigable apostle of electronic and underground music, and not only Swiss for that matter, he has also been known to work with Soul Clap and Genesis P-Orridge, the iconic leader of the groups Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV. Besides MCing and growing his address book, in the early 2000s, together with his father he also launched the niche label Villa Magica, devoted to revisited Christmas music.

Who is DJ Gold? A former youth leader, political activist, Lego lover and mixologist specializing in gin, DJ Gold never mixes. He loves music but it’s totally beyond him. ‘If music didn’t save you, it means you’re already lost.’ This is the leitmotif that drives him, on stage but also and especially off stage. DJ Gold is not a DJ but a passionate music lover. To mark the opening night of John M Armleder’s It Never Ends, he and Stéphane Armleder will try to get you to move – and even dance! – to the sounds of what he loves: Krautrock, psychedelic rock, alternative rock and experimental electronic music.
