LIVING PREAMBLE — A Ceremony with the Szenne
Depuis 2021, Natural Contract Lab chemine avec la SZenne, et les multiples présences, visibles et invisibles, qui la composent et la relient : humains, libellules, saules, moineaux, pluie, renouée du Japon, orties. De sa source sous un saule à Naast jusqu’au Zennegat à Malines, ce parcours suit la SZenne à travers le territoire, à l’écoute de ses eaux, de ses rythmes et des nombreuses relations qu’elle tisse.

- The River Oracle ritual takes place in Maximiliaan Park, opposite Kanal.
Lors du week-end d’ouverture de KANAL, ce parcours prend la forme d’une cérémonie collective. À Bruxelles, Walking with the SZenne débute au Musée des Égouts et invite à redécouvrir le paysage urbain en suivant le cours de la rivière, enfouie sous la ville. Dans l’après-midi, le Living Law Song et le premier River Oracle font émerger la voix et la mémoire de la SZenne à travers le chant collectif et le rituel. Ensemble, ces activités font partie du Living Preamble, une proposition adressée au Parlement Belge visant à faire reconnaître la SZenne comme une entité juridique dotée de droits.
