Lazara Albear Rosell

Lázara Rosell Albear studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent and lives and works in Brussels. Her multidisciplinary work sits at the crossroads of theatre and visual arts, mixing photography, film, performance, dance and music. As a dancer and performer, she has worked with Alain Platel/les ballets C de la B, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker/Rosas, Walter Verdin and Sammy Baloji. In 2001, she founded the collective MahaWorks together with guitarist, composer and visual artist Simschka Stein. Her work questions our place in a world where technological advances are continually transforming the traditional languages of dance, music and theatre.
