Worktable is a surprising invitation to get your hands on everyday objects. Armed with goggles and assorted tools, you navigate through different rooms. A teapot, an umbrella, an alarm clock or an encyclopaedia: it's up to you how things come apart, and how they fall together. There is work to do!

Artist Kate McIntosh joyfully disorders things to create a body of work that challenges familiar habits and routines. With Worktable, she sets in motion a series of events that give objects a value beyond the purely practical and opens reflections on the material world around us. Through the clever interplay of actions and memories, Worktable plays with our thrilling capacity to change and imagine.
