Ana Torfs on weaving language and history
Interview
Ana Torfs lives and works in Brussels. Since the 1990s, she has been working on the themes of representation and narrative structures. In spatial installations that use slides, sound, texts, prints, sculptures, xerography, videos, photos or textiles, Torfs expresses the fraught relationship between texts and images and the complicated processes of visualising, interpreting, perceiving, manipulating and translating they entail.
