Outsiders: Joshua Serafin & Pierre Bayet

Kiosk Radio x Kanal

Two people stand close together indoors, one with his arm resting on the other's shoulder. Both have serious expressions and wear black shirts with piercings and rings visible.

Kanal is not only a building a museum, but also a sound. Online community radio Kiosk proved the perfect partner to help broadcast it into Brussels and beyond. For the Outsiders series, once a month on Sunday mornings, Kanal invites over an artist for a one-hour set: a new composition, a mix, an interview.

Welcome to Relics, a musing on ancestry and artistry by Joshua Serafin. This soundscape includes excerpts from Relics: Ocean Vessel, a performance that took place earlier this summer at Horst Summer Club with Gay Haze and Sundaze. The piece was produced by Pierre Bayet, with a little help from Klsr.

Companion piece Relics – another Bayet production – is a collaborative work, a hybrid gesture of sound and spirit. It unfolds like a sonic panorama, featuring poems and samples by Joshua Serafin.
