Weaving workshop

Arlette Vermeiren lives in Brussels. She has taught at the Fine Arts Academy of Tournai and was artistic director of textile research at TAMAT. She has mastered silk paper as well as packaging for citrus fruits and chocolate. Taken apart, recomposed and rewoven, she assembles them by hand and without any accessories, with neither thread nor glue, in columns, walls or curtains.

These small elements of no apparent value are then woven into huge pieces of textile. In this workshop, participants will get the chance to join in the creation of an on-site work. They will be guided by the expert hands of this unique artist.
