Hana Miletić

Born in Zagreb in 1982, Hana Miletić lives and works in Brussels. She studied archaeology, gender studies, and photography in the Netherlands and Belgium. Her practice encompasses various media with a primary focus on fabric.

Miletić frequently exhibits in Belgium and is subject to growing international recognition. Besides exhibitions, she facilitates collaborative workshops and organises programmes of talks and screenings with individuals and groups that share her interests and concerns. Committed to exploring social and economic issues, she also investigates the legacies of modernism, as well as the craft traditions in her native Croatia.

The artist’s recent solo exhibitions include “Pieces” at Kunsthalle Mainz (2022), “Patchy” at Kunsthall Bergen (2021), and “Dependencies” at WIELS (2018). Major group shows include Manifesta 14 Prishtina (2022), 4th Art Encounters Biennial, Timișoara (2021) and Sharjah Biennale 13 (2017). In Belgium, her work has been exhibited at WIELS in Brussels, S.M.A.K Ghent, Argos, Beursschouwburg, La Loge in Brussels, M Museum Leuven, Mu.ZEE Ostend and M HKA Antwerp. In 2021 Miletić was the recipient of the Baloise Art Prize and in 2015 she received the Young Belgian Art Prize. Her work is part of the collections of Museum M Leuven, Mu.ZEE Museum in Ostend, M HKA Antwerp, Mudam Luxembourg, Frac Grand Large Dunkerque, IAC Villeurbanne and Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
