Education

Visit the museum with your class (kindergarten, primary and secondary) thanks to interactive guided tours, adapted to the level of your class, and followed by fun workshops at Kanal or in your school.

To introduce young people to contemporary art, but also to underline the pedagogical and inclusive role of KANAL-Centre Pompidou, we invite teachers to use the spaces and exhibitions of the museum as a platform for meeting, communication and experimentation.

The museum’s pedagogical team wishes to help teachers turn KANAL into a genuine work tool and to enable them to develop, based on the museum experience on site, classroom projects that can be adapted to the different curriculums and skill sets. Contemporary art lends itself to a range of readings and is therefore a unique learning tool that is in direct relation to the current world.

Kindergarten

  • Storytelling walk

For children age 3-5
The storytelling walk through the exhibition It Never Ends is the fruit of the encounter between the imagination of author Jérôme Michez and the fantasy world of John M Armleder. Traversing the former car showroom, the story told by one of our mediators (or sometimes by the author himself) is illustrated by the works that are revealed as you wander with your family through the exhibition.

EDU KIT

Resources for teachers, professors and educators are an essential tool for preparing a visit but also to encourage teachers to supervise the visit to KANAL and to include it in their program with a follow-up in the classroom.
The EDU KITs, developed by the KANAL team, can be downloaded free of charge from the site and also enable teachers to guide their class themselves if they wish.
