Tour (60 mins)
Set sail for an immersive exploration of the building–or is it a ship moored in the heart of the city?! On this narrated tour, pupils navigate between indoors and outdoors, from the heart of the building up to the rooftop, which opens out onto the urban landscape and the canal. The tour gradually reveals the links between architecture and environment while covering the history of the site–a former garage, traces of which are still visible today.
Workshop (60 mins)
Through play and exploration, pupils discover architecture by engaging their bodies and senses. They observe volumes, materials, colours and textures while experiencing the different scales of the building. They make impression on various surfaces and these are then gathered in a graphic composition, a creative extension of their journey across the site.
