Workshop (90 min)

Building on Ana Torfs’ work TXT (Engine of Wandering Words), Amnesty International invites pupils to examine everyday products such as chocolate, coffee and sugar. What invisible human realities are connected to them? The workshop shows that human rights are not abstract – they run through production chains, economic systems and technological processes.
Through a game, pupils follow the journey of products from field to home, then reflect on the rights of the people who produce and consume them. Finally, pupils create a little story on textile retracing these journeys, opening a space for creativity and critical reflection: who produces? Who consumes? Who benefits? Who is affected?

This tour and workshop are based on the installation right? by Banu Cennetoğlu and the exhibition A truly immense journey, which brings together works from the Centre Pompidou in Paris, Kanal and other public and private collections in Belgium.
