Tour (90 mins)

Set off on an urban expedition that’ll take you from the museum to the heart of the Northern Quarter. Between heritage and modernity, pupils will observe the buildings and discover an urban landscape undergoing transformation. Without imposing a particular viewpoint, the tour invites you to understand how this area was built and how it continues to evolve today before our very eyes. When you find yourself among the buildings, your perception also changes according to your feelings and experiences.

Workshop (90 mins)

Based on the observations and experiments made during the tour, pupils explore the area and look for unexpected perspectives. Drawing on the colours, textures and light effects they've observed, they create a viewing box, a composition that strutures the rhythms, materials and relations between the buildings.
