Tour (90 mins)

Step inside the exhibition Right to the City – Right to the Future, an interactive experience where pupils discover the city as a constantly evolving space, shaped by both architectural projects and forms of civic activism. Drawing on various examples, they reflect on the upheavals, past and present, that Brussels has gone through and on how these influence how we use and perceive the city. And what about the memory of these places: every building, every neighbourhood has a history, but how does this history endure today?

Workshop (90 mins)
Pupils can extend this reflection by taking action. After choosing a location near the museum, they create a sensory map that explores the history, uses and forms of that place. By observing and analysing the environment, they then imagine possible interventions, entering into a dialogue with the place to reveal or transform its meanings.
