Expression, society and engagement
In a world undergoing constant social and political change, this tour invites pupils to explore how art can become a space for expression and reflection. It was developed in collaboration with Vroom Space, a Brussels venue dedicated to comics and contemporary drawing. Through modern and contemporary works in the exhibition, pupils discover how artists question social realities, tell stories, express identities and propose alternative perspectives on the world. Pupils observe, analyse and discuss the works and their messages, guided by a method inspired by Deep Democracy, which encourages active listening and ensures that every voice is heard.

Workshop (90 min)

In a workshop designed by Maya Strobbe, a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of drawing, graphic design and conceptual publishing, pupils get to shape their own impressions and ideas. Individual contributions clash, chime and converge to create a collective work in which each voice finds its place. Texts, images and visual fragments combine into a dynamic composition, giving material form to identity, self-expression and personal narratives.

This tour and workshop are based on the exhibition A truly immense journey, which explores the theme of movement. It brings together works from the Centre Pompidou in Paris, Kanal and other public and private collections in Belgium.
