Workshop Tour

Territories

The city isn’t home to humans alone. Set out in search of the different forms of life that live in it.

Two children stand under a dense canopy of trees in a wooded area, with sunlight filtering through the leaves and a rucksack on the ground nearby.

Tour (90 mins)

What if the city were first seen as a living landscape, viewed from above? From the building, pupils take a first look at the area before heading down to explore its streets and parks and along the canal. Little by little, they identify what lives and interacts there: residents, plants, animals and both landscaped and wilder spaces. The tour encourages pupils to reflect on how all these life forms coexist and to perceive the city as an ecosystem of which everyone is a part.

Workshop (90 mins)

Observe, track, connect: the city becomes a field of investigation where every detail counts. As they explore the neighbourhood, pupils identify living environments, built forms and the interactions between these elements. Based on their discoveries, they create a sensory map highlighting the different areas, how they overlap and their own perception of this environment.
