Architecture, urban ecosystems, nature, the city
Tour (90 mins)
Explore urban ecosystems and the place of nature. On this tour, observe how green spaces are designed, but also how life forms find their way into urban gaps. But hold on, the perspective is shifting: isn’t the city itself part of a wider ecosystem? Through examples and discussions, pupils are encouraged to question their role and the impact of their actions. Living in the city also means coexisting with various life forms in a constantly evolving balance.
Workshop (90 mins)
Take the time to observe the many forms of life that coexist in the city: wild plants, landscaped spaces, and the diversity of uses and inhabitants. Pupils explore the role of architecture in these relations! Based on their observations, they create a photo-essay documenting how different forms of life intersect in the same urban space.
