The Brussels Christmas market brings the ultimate winter atmosphere to the city from Friday 27 November to Sunday 3 January 2027, with twinkling lights, mulled wine, an ice rink and stalls full of gifts. Combine your visit to Winter Wonders with a trip to the new Kanal museum. Just a ten-minute walk from Place Sainte-Catherine, you’ll find art, shops, delicious food and activities for children, all under one roof.

Warm up at Kanal after the Christmas market

If you fancy a break from the hustle and bustle of the Christmas market, simply carry on to the former Citroën garage, which now houses the Kanal museum. There you’ll discover modern and contemporary art, exhibitions, performances, children’s workshops and family activities. Come in from the cold and let the children burn off some energy in the free indoor play area. Hungry? Stop for a bite in the brasserie or the rooftop bar.
