A presentation of workspacebrussels
In the frame of Working Title Festival
WORK-IN-PROGRESS / PROTOTYPE
In Rainbow, Nazanin Fakoor explores the theme of ‘identity’, both from her personal experience as an artist with roots in Iran, Germany and Belgium, and from a universal human perspective. For her, identity is fluid and by definition multiple. The rainbow from the title symbolises the many layers that shape our human existence.

John M Armleder in conversation with Rectangle (Aline Melaet, Pierre-Pol Lecouturier and Xavier Pauwels)
Tea Time #2
25/09/2020 — 26/09/2020
Rectangle, an independent art space in Brussels, has been committed since 2012, to researching different ways of showing and experiencing art. One particular example by the collective was the production of a series of exhibitions that gained notoriety via the rental of a billboard in the Saint-Gilles district and by turning this advertising space into the site for the exhibition. In parallel with It Never Ends, Rectangle invited John M Armleder to create an exhibition in a public space. The artist called it "Isocèle".

Keep Calm & Carillon

A carillon, transformed into a sculpture by artist Charlemagne Palestine, has adorned the ground floor of KANAL since September. The intention was to play this beautiful instrument on a regular basis. For an indoor live audience this is no longer possible for the time being. But a carillon cannot be confined! On April 23rd & 25th KANAL will present two concerts that you can listen to outside, in the public space around KANAL. The concerts will also be streamed via our webradio Studio K

Look no further - the duo behind this slightly cryptic name are big names in the national music industry: Pascal N. Paulus (AKA Paulson) on the synthesiser and Jean-Philippe De Gheest on the drum. The former plays multiple instruments and is a former producer of Mélanie De Biasio, La Jerôme, Kris Dane, and more. The latter is mostly known for his many years of collaboration with American gothic rock singer Mark Lanegan and is also a member of Piloot, a groovy and experimental improvisation trio.
