Over a duration of 4 weeks, this micro Christmas Market will offer the people of Brussels a new and alternative Christmas experience. Here, the classic chalets will be replaced by shipping containers serving Christmas street food and hot drinks. Alongside this, there will be musical and artistic events celebrating the Christmas spirit.

KANAL invites you to an evening full of art and surprises through the It Never Ends exhibition. (Re)Discover by night the multidimensional artistic proposal conceived and staged by John M Armleder.
KANAL is one of the 22 museums in Brussels taking part in the event Brussels Museum Nocturnes.

For the Wajdan project, Selma and Sofiane Ouissi directed five women artists living in Tunis, Beirut, Damascus, Cairo, Brussels and Sao Paulo remotely. Filmed at home by their mobile phones, they respond to the voice of Wajdan, a Syrian political refugee living in France. A film full of humanity, about social relationships and the role of artists during times of crisis.

In the framework of the Miscellaneous Folies exhibition a public debate will be organised on 9 March. The topic of the folies will be publicly discussed with a panel of experts involved in the research that preceded the exhibit. After an afternoon of debate 'Le Récital des Folies' will be performed by actress/dancer Helena de Laurens and PEREZ (musician) and for which literature and theoretical texts picked by the curators form the basis.

Besides the Centre Pompidou collection the visitor can also discover young Belgians artists. They have been selected by a committee to set the basis of Kanal’s own collection of contemporary art.

Discover the city through the children's eyes in the Yser/IJzer metro station and on the palisade of the under construction museum on Quai des Péniches/Akenkaai.
