It Never Ends – Christian Marclay

Christian Marclay’s work which stands at the crossroads of visual arts and sound, has focused since the late 1970s on the connection between music, objects, films, and images. Organised around two major works by the London-based Swiss American artist that were produced two decades apart, this exhibition reveals the artist's continued focus on the musical symbols present in our everyday lives, like the many calls to act out our existence.

Performance
Jocelyn Cottencin
MONUMENTAL
15/03/2019 — 17/03/2019
For several years, visual artist Jocelyn Cottencin has been conducting a reflection on form, image, signs and space through recurrent themes such as the group and the community.
For his projects he uses installations, film, graphic design, performances and the book. Quite logically, Monumental is a project that moves borders.
Monumental seeks to activate a visual and collective memory originating in representations of our history, in particular the history of art, or media and contemporary events.

Joëlle de La Casinière
Rosa de Lima
07/11/2018 — 12/11/2018
21/11/2018 — 26/11/2018
19 kilometres off the Peruvian capital Lima, Villa El Salvador is no ordinary "barriada". With its more than 300,000 inhabitants, it is a true example of self-management, autonomy and community. Joëlle de La Casinière makes a portrait of this "new city", built out of nothing, in no time, in the middle of nowhere. Associating boleros, rancheras, and other South American popular music genres with the devastating sight of desert roads and industrial cars, de La Casinière plays with the existing stereotypes of South America, highlighting thus this continent's great contrasts.

Martin Hansen
MONUMENTAL
06/04/2019 — 07/04/2019
In Monumental, the young Australian choreographer Martin Hansen tackles one of the iconic moments in dance history: The Dying Swan solo first performed in 1905 by Anna Pavlova, star of the Imperial Russian Ballet. A joyful undertaking of recreation and deconstruction that invites us to contemplate the little factory of dance images. Appearing at Kanal - Centre Pompidou.
