Performing Art - Noé Soulier
22/03/2019 — 23/03/2019
Now that the body has increasingly entered museums, choreographer and philosopher Noé Soulier has chosen to explore the reverse movement: what if it was the artworks that adapted themselves to a new space instead of the body? In Performing Art, spectators observe 20 works of art from the collection of the Musée National d’Art Moderne-Centre Pompidou. Not by strolling through a museum, but from the comfort of their theatre seat. The actors are the technicians of the museum who unpack the artworks onstage according to a well-defined protocol.

I...Cognitive maps - Chapter 1 - Ely Daou
29/05/2019 — 31/05/2019
What do you remember about a room? Or about an apartment or space you lived in, but which no longer exists or where you never went back to. In I... Cognitive Maps - Chapter 1 artist Ely Daou, born in Beirut in 1986, travels through his memory – and history – attempting to sketch the different apartments and living spaces he occupied during and just after the Lebanese Civil War. The architectural details – as they are remembered or perhaps transformed by the artist’s memory – become the starting points for re-entering both the spaces and the past. I...

Relay (Unplugged) - Brussels Days 21
24/09/2021 — 25/09/2021
A black flag floats in continuous motion. The black flag cannot be linked to one particular battle and hence defies easy interpretation. Drawing inspiration from the many recent protests taking place around the globe, a diverse group of performers relay one another in a fascinating test of endurance. Their movements pass back and forth between inertia and hope, resistance, and powerlessness.

En Quête des marges fluctuantes - Brussels Days 21
22/09/2021 — 23/09/2021
23/09/2021 — 24/09/2021
24/09/2021 — 25/09/2021
During the three Brussels Days, the Cameroon artist Guy Woueté and performers Medina Tokalic and Bela Juttner, hold up banners in the public spaces. The banners that contain thoughts and texts, some of which were written by Woueté himself, fluctuate between poetic quotations and political claims/slogans. During En quête des marges fluctuantes, the bodies of performers are put to work in public spaces for eight hours a day, thus challenging how passers-by view work and working conditions.

MONUMENTAL
15/03/2019 — 17/03/2019
For several years, visual artist Jocelyn Cottencin has been conducting a reflection on form, image, signs and space through recurrent themes such as the group and the community.
For his projects he uses installations, film, graphic design, performances and the book. Quite logically, Monumental is a project that moves borders.
Monumental seeks to activate a visual and collective memory originating in representations of our history, in particular the history of art, or media and contemporary events.
